ROCHESTER INSIGHT MEDITATION

Deepening in Practice Along With Others


Based in Rochester, MN, we're a group of spiritual friends
who study and practice insight meditation and The Noble Eight-

fold Path, the Buddha's ultimate teaching on well-being.

Our two open-to-the-public programs are:

Thursday Evening Dharma Study and Practice
Includes a 30-minute silent or guided meditation, followed by
a dharma talk, discussion and Q&A. From 7 to 8:30 PM in
the Walters Room at Assisi Heights in Rochester.  

Sunday Morning Dharma Reading and Practice
A reading, discussion and practice group focusing on mindful-

ness, meditation and spirituality. To receive a weekly notice about

In addition we offer:

Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation Classes
A six-week introductory class in basic mindfulness meditation that im-

proves physical, emotional and spiritual health. The classes are held on
six consecutive Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Spring 2019 class
will be held April 9-May 14. Email doug@mcgillreport.org for information.

Mindful Yoga with Nancy Boler
A two-hour class consisting of  90 minutes of slow, gentle and mind-

ful yoga and 30 minutes restful guided meditation. Suitable for all levels.

Held on the second Saturday of every month from 9 to 11 AM at the
Calvary Episcopal Church. RSVPs to doug@mcgillreport.org.
Classes offered on a donation basis. 


The Daily Tejaniya
A daily email practice reminder from Sayadaw U Tejaniya, a Burmese
monk and meditation teacher. Sayadaw's meditation style stresses natural

                          Rochester Insight Meditation
                                     at Assisi Heights


                 In January 2019, Rochester Insight Meditation moved from
                 Generosity House, a residential home where it had met since
                 2004, to Assisi Heights, the motherhouse of the Sisters of
                 Assisi in Rochest
er.

                 The Walters Room

 

                 The Thursday evening and Sunday morning programs

                 are held in the Walters Room at Assisi Heights.

 

                 To find the Walters Room, use the Assisi Main Entrance

                 and ask for directions at the reception desk.

                 Parking at Assisi

                 On Thursday evenings, parking is allowed in any of the
                 Assisi lots, including in front of the Main Entrance. 

 

                 On Sunday mornings, parking is allowed only in the

                 East Lot and the Canticle Lot.
